Resurgence Gear's denim jacket, or the trucker as it’s otherwise known, is about as ubiquitous as outerwear gets, but not without good reason.
Even before you get to its cool factor, there's the practical element. Hard wearing and generally lightweight, a good denim jacket will last you a very long time and can be worn in all sorts of different scenarios - over a T-shirt, under a pea coat, even with smart trousers and a shirt and tie if you want to tip your cap to our transatlantic cousins.
However, there is one thing that, sadly, it cannot do, and that is stand up to the rigors of winter.
For that, Resurgence Gear worked out pretty quickly that you'd need something a little more heavy duty.
By lining it with shearling, the trucker became known as the ‘Sherpa motorcycle jacket’ (great in the cold…) a brilliant mix of practicality and durability. Oh, and the added fabric hasn’t done it any harm in the looks department, either.
Cut straight in the body and sleeves to allow for more room given the extra lining and the fact that you'll probably be wearing it over a jumper, the white shearling collar pops against the dark denim.
Alternatively, it will work just as well with a pair of jet black jeans and boots. It’s enough to make you pray for bad weather.

How to style your winter motorcycle jackets
Use it to your advantage and you can smarten it up by wearing it under a t-shirt or navy overcoat- the yellow and blue will work well together, and why not opt for the Resurgence Riders Tee shirt. An awesome casual Tee for those that love life on two wheels. Born to ride, built to last.Alternatively, it will work just as well with a pair of jet black jeans and boots. With Chinos
You’re effectively wearing jeans on your top half, and you know that double denim is dangerous territory. But so is going out half-naked. Enter chinos. They can be smart, with formalizing features such as pleats, creases and tab closure, but they can also be casual. With Black Jeans
Double denim can be doubly good even if you flagrantly transgress the ‘distinct shades’ rule. It can also be very, very bad: see Justin Timberlake in your nightmares. But for a fail-safe way to splice jeans, black and blue is hard to beat. With A Hoodie
This combo is a fallback for any menswear blogger attempting to look vaguely urban. Don’t let that put you off. A hoodie is a natural sparring partner for a denim jacket because they’re both low-key, chuck-on weekend staples. For more denim and motorcycle apparel knowledge, visit Motorcycle Apparel, featuring everything you ever wanted to know about motorcycle clothing and styling but were too afraid to ask.
